Midsummer Rendez-Vous the 4th of September 2010
The first Saturday of September (4 sept) 2010 there will be for the first time in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Surplus Radio Society (SRS) a midsummer rendez-vous. It is believed to be a fun rendez-vous with a lot of chirpy signals from the old transceivers. The rendez-vous runs from 10:00 CEST in the morning until 22:00 CEST in the evening. This event is especially for the fun of operating surplus equipment. A good operating practice where there will be room for the QRP stations is important. This Saturday there will be several stations operating a GRC-9 from different unique locations.
The rules:
General
This rendez-vous is open for Dutch as well as foreign licensed radio amateurs. SWL stations are also invited to sent in their logs. The modes of operation are AM, MCW and CW, no SSB!!
Date and time
Saturday the 4th of September 2010 from 10:00 CEST until 22:00 CEST.

The station
The station can exist of a GRC-9, home-brew, tube transceiver or a modern solid state transceiver. As a bonus station there will be a special station QRV from the WS-19 museum in Budel with the special call PA15SRS. This special station will be worth 10 points.
Exchange
Time, RS(T), serial number, category, used equipment both your own station as well as the contact station.
Identification
Participants call CQ SRS / CQ SRS de ….... call.
Points and counting
Every station worked counts only once per mode and once per band. Stations with a GRC-9 are worth 5 points. Transceivers equipped with tubes and home-brew equipment are worth 3 points and modern solid state equipment counts as 1 point. A QSO with the special station PA15SRS is worth 10 points. Every valid contact must be confirmed by the contact station (per example R, TU, CFM or QSL). The total score will be the sum of your own points and the points of your contact station.
SWL
The score for SWL stations is the same as above. The SWL counts both heard stations and logs the used equipment of both stations.
Logs
Because the logs are checked by hand, Cabrillo and ADIF formats are not accepted. The standard log sheet needs to be used (download from the SRS website). Homemade logs need to have the same format and size. Time need to be mentioned in CEST (Dutch local time). Duplicate QSO's need to be clearly marked as dupe and don't count for the final score. SWL need to log the call of the primary and secondary station as well as the exchanged reports. By signing your log you declare to have accepted any ruling of the organization. Logs that don't comply can be used as check-log.
