Midsummer Rendez-Vous on September 1, 2012

On the first Saturday (Sept. 1.) In September 2012 for the second time of the Surplus Radio Society (SRS), a summer rendezvous in CW and AM held. It promises a pleasant and fun to rendezvous with a lot of those old getjoep transceivers. The duration of the rendezvous is 10:00 in the morning until 22:00 at night. In this event, it in particular to the joy of making connections with mainly surplus equipment. On this Saturday at several unique locations a GRC-9 station put into the air.

The Rendez-Vous rules.

General
At the Rendezvous can be attended by both Dutch and foreign licensed amateur radio. Listening stations will also be invited to send in their logs. The modes in which it can be done to AM, MCW and CW, SSB no!

Date and Time
Saturday, September 1, 2012 beginning at 10:00 hours to 22:00 hours local time in the Netherlands

Frequencies
The Midsummer Rendezvous takes place on the HF frequencies normally on the GRC-9 prevented. These are the bands 80m, 40m and 30m. Most activities will take place on the following frequencies:
CW 3.575 – 3.580, 7.012 and 10.108 MHz
AM 3.705, 3.615, 3.625 and 7.153 MHz

Categories
Cat 1: GRC-9 5 points
Cat 2: DIY or tubes transceiver 3 points
Cat 3: modern surplus transceivers (Sailor, Debeg etc.) 2 points

Cat 4: modern transceiver (Kenwood, Icom etc.) 1 point
Cat 5: Special PI4C station 10 points

The station
The station may consist of a GRC-9, homebrew,transceiver with tubes or with a modern transceiver. Joker as a special station will be QRV from the bunker complex at Hoek van Holland with the call PI4SRS. This special drive will be worth 10 points.

Exchange
Time, RS (T), serial number, category, devices worked well as its own drive to drive.

Identification
Participants give and call CQ SRS / SRS CQ ... ... the call sign.

Points and Scoring
Each worked station counts one time per mode. Stations with a GRC-9 are worth 5 points. Transceivers with tubes and DIY equipment are worth 3 points and modern equipment count as one point. A connection to the special station PI4SRS is 10 points. Each valid connection must be confirmed by the control station (eg R, TU, or QSL CFM). The total score of a connection to your own issues and points of your counterpart.

Listening stations
For shortwave listeners is the same scoring as above. The connection is valid if both stations can be heard on both stations and the working equipment is written down.

Logs
Because the logs manually controlled, ADIF and Cabrillo format is not accepted. Use should be made on the standard Hot Logs (download from website). Homemade logs should have the same format and size. Times should be recorded in local time. Duplicate connections are clearly marked as victims to be counted and obviously not included in the overall score. Listening stations to cover both the call sign of the primary and secondary station and exchanged reports indicate. With your signature you acknowledge that you also come to terms with decisions of the organization. Logs not meeting the prescribed rules to comply checklog can be explained.
