3D2 Republic of Fiji – Dom, 3D2USU is active again as 3D2AJT from Nadi, Fiji Islands from 16 March until the end of April. The callsign is in memory of the late Yasuo “Zorro” Miyazawa (JH1AJT), who passed away on 23 March 2022. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS and LoTW.
4K Azerbaijan – Team 4K0T will be active from the Khizi Mountains of Azerbaijan on 29-30 March. They will operate SSB and FT8 on 80-10 meters, using “various antenna systems and portable stations”. QSL via operators’ instructions. See https://www.qrz.com/db/4K0T for more information.
8P Barbados – Dave, G4OSY will be active as 8P9EI from Barbados (NA-021) from 24 March to 6 April. He will operate CW and SSB on 40-10 metres, hopefully including an entry in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL direct to home call.
9A Croatia – 9A100IARU is the special callsign for the Croatian Amateur Radio Association (HRS) to join the celebrations for the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union on 1-30 April.
C6 Bahamas – Paul, WA4PAW will be active as C6APS from Great Abaco (NA-080), Bahamas between 29 March and 19 April. He will operate FT8, CW and SSB on 40-10 metres. QSL via LoTW and Club Log’s OQRS.
CX Uruguay – CX100IARU is the special callsign for the Radio Club Uruguayo to join the celebrations for the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union on 1-30 April. QSL via LoTW and CX1AA (bureau and direct); eQSL on https://www.cx1aa.org/consulta-distintivo.php.
FJ St Barthelemy – Janusz, SP9FIH will be active from Saint Barthelemy (NA-146) as FJ/SP9FIH on 20-23 March, and as TO1P from 24 March to 4 April. HA Hungary – The Hungarian Radio Amateur Society (MRASZ) will celebrate the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union on 1-18 April. Look for special callsigns HA100IARU, HG100IARU, HA100Y, HA100E, HA100A, HA100R, HA100C, HA100L, HA100B, HA100T, HA100I, HA100O and HA100N to be active on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and digital modes. HR Honduras – Alex, K6VHF will be active again as K6VHF/HR9 from Roatan Island (NA-057), Honduras from 30 March to 6 April. He will operate mainly digital modes on 80-6 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, LoTW, or direct to home call.
J6 St Lucia – Team consisting of DL3ON, J69DS, K9HZ (J68HZ), KN2P, W0CN (J68CN) and WA4PGM (J68KC) will be active from St Lucia (NA-108) as J62K during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest (29-30 March). They will also be QRV with individual J6 callsigns on 26-31 March. QSL J62K via LoTW, or direct to K9HZ.
PJ4 Netherlands Antilles – Rich, N6KT will be active as PJ4K from Bonaire (SA-006) on 26-30 March. He will be QRV on 80-10 metres, and will participate in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL via Via KU9C.
PJ7 Sint Maarten, Saba and St Eustatius – Ken, KJ9B will be active holiday style as PJ7KB from Sint Maarten (NA-105), as well as FS/KJ9B from Saint Martin (NA-105), between 28 March and 6 April. He will operate SSB and FT8/FT4 mainly on 20 and 17 metres. QSLs direct to home call; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
PZ Suriname – Renato PY8WW, Rico PZ5JW and Dieter DL8TG will be active as PZ5IP from Papegaaien Island (SA-092), Suriname “during the first week of April”. Plans are to operate SSB, CW and digital modes on 40-10 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS.
SV Greece – SZ100IARU is the special callsign for the Radio Amateur Association of Greece (RAAG) to join the celebrations for the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union on 1-30 April. Four certificates will be available: https://sv2rck.gr/SZ100IARU. QSL via the bureau, LoTW and QRZ Logbook.
V2 Antigua and Barbuda – Bud, AA3B will be active again as V26K from Antigua (NA-100) from 25 March to 2 April, including a SOAB HP entry in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. Outside the contest he will operate mainly CW on 80-6m. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or via home call.
V7 Marshall Islands – Randall, KX4QD is active as V73HW from Kwajalein (OC-028), Marshall Islands until sometime in 2027. Keep an eye out for him during the local weekends and local weekday mornings. He operates SSB and FT8 on 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 and 6 metres. QSL direct to Randall Hisle, PSC 701 Box 307, APO AP 96555, USA; QSOs will be uploaded to Club Log and LoTW.
VU India – The Amateur Radio Society of India (VU2ZH) will celebrate the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union by activating special callsign VU1IARU from 1 April to 29 June. ARSI has been a member society of IARU Region 3 since 1958. QSL via VU2ZH.
YB Indonesia – 8A100IARU is the special callsign for the Indonesian IARU society (Organisasi Amatir Radio Indonesia, ORARI) to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the International Amateur Radio Union on 1-30 April. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, or via N2OO. Details of the award programme will be published on https://hamaward.cloud/awards.
ZC4 UK Sovereign Bases on Cyprus-Akrotiri and Dhekelia – Adrian, G0KOM expects to go back to the UK Sovereign Base Areas on Cyprus on 24-31 March and be active as ZC4MK. This will include activity during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, LoTW, or via home call.
