5B Cyprus – Special callsign 5B50CARS and 5B100IARU celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Amateur Radio Society (https://www.cyhams.org) and the centenary of the International Amateur Radio Union, respectively. Look for activity on 15 April (the official registration date of CARS), 18 April (World Amateur Radio Day), and 25-26 April (100th anniversary of IARU and 75th anniversary of IARU Region 1). QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ.com and Club Log. Four certificates will be available for contacts made with any of the special callsigns; see their relevant QRZ.com pages for more information.
A2 Botswana – Luke, ZS6LUK will be active as A25LUK while visiting Botswana between 6 and 30 April. He will operate SSB and digital modes (FT8 and JS8Call) on 40, 30, 20 and 10 metres. QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ Logbook.
I Italy – Markus, DJ4EL will be active holiday style as IF9/DJ4EL from the Egadi Islands (EU-054) on 13-23 April. He will operate SSB on 40-10 metres from SOTA and POTA sites on the islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo. QSL via home call, Club Log’s OQRS and LoTW. JA Japan – Moto, JA1GZV will be active again as JS6UKY/6 from the Okinawa Islands (AS-017) on 6-12 April. He will operate CW on 40-15 metres. QSL via JS6UKY (bureau), eQSL, or direct to JA1GZV.
T8 West Caroline Isl. Belau – Nobu, JA0JHQ will be active again as T88PB from Koror (OC-009), Palau on 11-13 April, with main activity during the CW leg of the Japan International DX Contest (from 7 UTC on 12 April to 13 UTC on 13 April, http://jidx.org/). QSL via LoTW (preferred), or direct to JA0JHQ.
TA Turkey – HA8LLH and YO5OED are active holiday style as TC0/HA8LLH (QSL via home call), TC0/YO5OED (QSL via home call) and TC0G (QSL via HA8LLH) from Gokceada (EU-186) until 10 April. QSOs are uploaded to Club Log.
ZA Albania – Giovanni, IZ2DPX and Angelo, IZ1CTE will be active as ZA/IZ2DPX and ZA/IZ1CTE, respectively, from Saranda, Albania, on 8-13 April. They will be QRV on the HF bands and 6 metres. QSL via home calls, LoTW and Club Log’s OQRS.
ZD7 St.Helena – Paul, GW0NGA will be active holiday style as ZD7PG from St. Helena (AF-022) on 12-19 April. “I’m not active on eQSL.cc or LOTW”, he says, “but I do like real cards”.
