3C Equatorial Guinea – The Mediterraneo DX Club has announced plans for a DXpedition to take place from Bioko Island (AF-010), Equatorial Guinea from 30 October to 10 November. A multi-national team of fourteen operators will be active as 3C2MD on 160-6 metres SSB, CW and digital modes. Expected activities include EME and QO-100. QSL via IK2VUC. More

9M2 West Malaysia – Team 9M4PA will be active from Aman Island (AS-015), West Malaysia on 2-4 May. QSL via LoTW, or direct to 9M2HUS.
BY China – Ten stations (B0CRA, B1CRA, B2CRA, B3CRA, B4CRA, B5CRA, B6CRA, B7CRA, B8CRA and B9CRA from across the country will be active indicatively on 3-5 May for the annual “5.5 China Amateur Radio Festival” on air event, organized by the Chinese Radio Amateurs Club (CRAC). D4 Cape Verde – Harald, DF2WO and Warren, KN6ZZI will be active as D44TWO (mainly CW and FT4) and D44ZZI (mainly SSB and FT8), respectively, from Santiago Island (AF-005), Cape Verde on 4-26 May. Look also for activity via QO-100. QSL for both callsigns via M0OXO’s OQRS.
DL Germany – Special callsign DM0LIMES will be active between 1 May and 1 July for this year’s German World Heritage Day (1 June). QSL via the bureau and eQSL. Also active will be DM3LIMES (QSL via the bureau) on 31 May-1 June. The limes was the border line of the Roman Empire at its greatest extent. In 2005, the remnants of the Upper GermanRaetian Limes were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as “Frontiers of the Roman Empire”.
EA Spain – Celebrating IARU’s centenary, Spanish amateurs are allowed to replace their normal prefix from 1 to 15 May as follows: EA stations can use AO#100, EB stations can use AN#100, and EC stations can use AM#100, where “#” is the digit of their call area. For example, EA6VQ will use AO6100VQ, EB3WH will use AN3100WH, and EC7R will use AM7100R.
EA Spain – Once again the Federacion Digital EA will operate special callsigns AO1EU, AO2EU, AO3EU, AO4EU, AO5EU, AO6EU, AO7EU, AO8EU and AO9EU on 2-11 May to celebrate Europe Day, the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration (9 May 1950) that paved the way to the European Union. F France – Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, special callsign TM45END will be active on 7-31 May. QSL via F5JYD.
FO French Polynesia – Didier, F6BCW will be active as TX5U from Tikehau (OC-066), French Polynesia from 26 May to 8 June. He will operate CW and SSB (no FT8) on 40-6 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS (direct and bureau); full LoTW upload after six months.
FR Reunion Island – Celebrating the centenaries of the Reseau des Emetteurs Francais (REF) and the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), Phil FR8UA and Ann FR8TZ will be active as TO974REF from Reunion Island (AF-016) on 1-4 May, 8-11 May, 17-19 May and 29 May-1 June. GI Northern Ireland – Once again the North West Group ARC (MN0NWG) is running special event station GB0AEL between 5 and 31 May to commemorate the anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s transatlantic flight. QSL via MI0HOZ (direct or bureau). On 20-21 May 1932, Earhart became the first woman to fly nonstop and alone across the Atlantic, leaving Harbor Grace on Newfoundland (Canada), and landing 15 hours later near Londonderry (Northern Ireland).
GM Scotland – Team MM0UKI (G0VJG, G4PVM and M0SDV) plans to be active from the Flannan Islands (EU-118). They will depart the Isle of Lewis on the local afternoon of 27 April, and will try and be QRV for 2-3 days (depending on weather). They will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on 40-10 metres. GU Guernsey – Team GU6EFW will be active from Guernsey (EU-114) on 7-14 May. Seven operators (ON1BN, ON4AML, ON6EF, ON6VJ, ON7TA, ON7VM and ON9DJ) will be QRV on 160-6 metres SSB, CW and digital modes. They will also give QO-100 and 2.3 GHz EME a try. QSL via ON6EF. HR Honduras – Renato, PY8WW will be active as HR4/PY8WW from Isla El Tigre (NA-060), Honduras on 13-17 May. He will be QRV on 80-10 metres with two stations at the same time – one station alternating between SSB and CW, and the other one fully dedicated to FT8 (F/H) and FT4. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS.
I Italy – Following the passing of Pope Francis and in light of the funeral services scheduled for 26 April, the Coordinamento delle Stazioni Marconiane Italiane has considered joining the national mourning as a sign of respect. Consequently, all 14 commemorative radio stations belonging to the CSMI (IY0CG, IY0GA, IY0IMD, IY0MMR, IY0ORP, IY0TC, IY1MR, IY1SM, IY1SP, IY1TO, IY4FGM, IY5PIS, IY6GM, and IY7M) will not participate in this year’s International Marconi Day.
JA Japan – Look for JA4GXS/6 to be active from Kami Koshiki Island (AS-037) on 3-4 May. He will operate FT8, FT4, CW and SSB on 40, 30, 20, 17 and 6 metres. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
SV Greece – SX20TARG is the special callsign for members of the Thessaloniki Amateur Radio Group to celebrate its 20th anniversary on 3-17 May. QSL only via eQSL.
T30 Western Kiribati Islands – The Rebel DX Group will be active as T30TTT from Western Kiribati (OC-017) for about 3 weeks sometime in the near future. UA European Russia – A very large number of Russian stations using special prefix RP80 will be QRV on 1-9 May to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. More information on https://logradio.ru/.
V5 Namibia – Remo, HB9SHD will be active holiday style as V51/HB9SHD while touring Namibia between 29 April and 15 June. He will operate SSB and digital modes on 40-6 metres. QSL via LoTW.
VU India – Team AU2M is now expected to be active from Arnala Island (AS-169) on 28-31 May. This IOTA group has been silent since 2006. Plans are for seven operators to set up three stations, and to operate CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H) on various bands, 6m included. QSL via M0OXO’s OQRS. YS El Salvador – Renato, PY8WW will be active as YS3/PY8WW from Isla Zacatillo (NA-190), El Salvador on 8-13 May. He will be QRV on 80-6 metres with two stations at the same time – one station alternating between SSB and CW, and the other one fully dedicated to FT8 (F/H) and FT4. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS.
YV Venezuela – YV5KG expects to be active from Los Roques (SA-035) on 25-29 April. Reportedly, he will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on 80-6 metres. QSL via the bureau and LoTW.
Z6 Kosovo – Anne, OH2YL and Marko, OH2LGW will be active from Kosovo as Z68YL and Z68OM, respectively, on 20-30 May. They will operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 160-6 metres. QSL for both callsigns via OH2YL. At the same time, Silvano, I2YSB announced the cancellation of the Italian DXpedition Team’s operation (ZS8TT and Z68ZZ), scheduled from 26 June to 10 July.
