5R Madagascar – Gianpi, IK1TTD will be active holiday style as 5R8TD from Madagascar in late May-early June. He will be QRV from Nosy Be (AF-057) on 27 May-4 June, and from Tsarabanjina, Mitsio Islands (AF-057) on 4-11 June. CO Cuba – Team T48JM will be active on 19-23 May to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the death of Cuban national hero Jose Marti. Look for activity on 160-10 metres SSB, CW, FT8, and FT4, as well as on 6 and 2m. QSL via QRZ Logbook, via email (frc.t48jm∂gmail.com), or via RW6HS.
E6 Niue – Bob, ZL1RS will be active as E6RS from Niue (OC-040) from 27 May to 2 June. He will be QRV primarily on 6 metres FT8, with the main focus on ionospheric propagation and some activity on 10 metres if the Magic Band is closed. FY French Guiana – Antonio, DL4EA will be active holiday style as FY/DL4EA from French Guiana on 19-21 May. He will be QRV on satellites (RS-44 and QO-100), with some QRP activity on the HF bands. See https://hams.at for satellite activations.
KH8 American Samoa – Bob, K0NR and Joyce, K0JJW will be active as KH8/K0NR and KH8/K0JJW from American Samoa from 27 May to 9 June. “Our primary objective is activating SOTA summits, using 20m thru 10m on SSB, FT8 & FT4, 10 watts to wire antennas”, they say. “We plan to do some off-summit operating, including some POTA activations”. OH0 Aland Islands – Team OH0ERF (DG0OCG, DL1STL, DL1TAM, DL5ARI, DL5AXI and DO6KD) will be active from Eckero, Aland Islands (EU-002) on 22-27 May. They will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on 40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2 metres, as well as on 70cm and QO-100. QSL via DK0ERF; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
PZ Suriname – Antonio, DL4EA will be active holiday style as PZ5EA from Suriname on 22-26 May. He will be QRV on satellites (RS-44 and QO-100), with some QRP activity on the HF bands. QSL via LotW and eQSL.
T8 Palau – Look for T88DZ (QSL via JR2JGR), T88HF (QSL via LoTW, eQSL, or direct to JF1GHX), and T88SG (QSL via JK1SZX) to be active on various bands and modes from Koror (OC-009) Palau on 22 May-1 June.
YO Romania – YO160ITU is the special callsign for the Federatia Romana de Radio-amatorism (FRR) to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the International Telecommunications Union on 16-31 May. An anniversary diploma will be available, see https://www.qrz.com/db/YO160ITU for information.
ZA Albania – Active on various bands and modes from 9 to 31 May, ZA25GIA is a special callsign to mark this year’s edition of the Giro d’Italia, the annual multiple-stage cycling race whose three opening stages took place in Albania. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS.
ZL New Zealand – ZL100IARU is the special callsign for New Zealand’s IARU member society, NZART, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the International Amateur Radio Union from 1 May to 31 July. QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ Logbook and LoTW.
ZL7 Chatham Islands – Holger, ZL3IO will be active again as ZL7IO from Waitangi, Chatham Islands (OC-038) on 19-26 May. This will be “a working bee trip”, he says, “since we have damages to antennas, and problems with the power supply”. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS (preferred), or via DK7AO.
