EA Spain – Members of Cartagena Team will be active as AO5APA on 1-15 June. QSL via EA5GTU. The special callsigns marks the 40th anniversary of the Patrulla Aguila (“Eagle Patrol”), the aerobatic demonstration team of the Spanish Air and Space Force.
EA Spain – Emil, DL8JJ plans to be active as EA5/DL8JJ from Penyeta del Moro (EU-151) between 7 and 9 June. Hopefully he will be able to stay overnight. Activity will be on 40-10 metres CW and SSB. QSL via M0OXO’s OQRS; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
EP Iran – Special event station EP2PG will be active on 6-7 June on 40, 20 and 10 metres SSB. QSL via QRZ Logbook. “This is a nationwide cultural amateur radio event dedicated to honoring the Persian Gulf – one of the oldest and most historically significant maritime regions in the world”. F France – Special callsign TM61TC will be activated on 1-5 June celebrating Claude Chappe’s invention of the optical telegraph, the first practical telecommunications system of the industrial age. QSL via the bureau.
F France – Once again the Association des Radioamateurs de la Sarthe (F6KFI) will operate a special event station for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Look for TM24H on 1-15 June, with activity on various bands and modes. QSL via F6KFI.
FS Saint Martin – John, K9EL will be active holiday style as FS/K9EL from St. Martin (NA-105) on 4-18 June. He will focus on 6 metres when the band is open, with limited activity on 40-10 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS (preferred), LoTW, or via K9EL.
GJ Jersey – A large Belgian team (ON4ANN, ON4CG, ON4CKM, ON4DCU, ON4DTO, ON4EC, ON4EK, ON4JCO, ON4MA, ON6NL, ON6QR, ON8BDJ, ON8CW) will be active as MJ/OP2D from Jersey Island (EU-013) on 6-13 June. They will operate SSB, CW and FT8 with four stations on 160-6 metres and via satellite (QO-100). QSL via M0URX; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
I Italy – Domenico, IK1MNF will be active again as IK1MNF/IA5 from Isola d’Elba (EU-028) from early June until the end of September. He will operate mainly SSB on 20-6 metres. QSL via home call; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
I Italy – Launched in 1904, the ‘Elettra’ was a two-masted steam yacht that Guglielmo Marconi used as a floating laboratory for many experiments. Part of her keel stands in the grounds of Villa Griffone, at Pontecchio near Bologna, from where ARI Fidenza will be active as IY4RXO during the Museum Ships Weekend (7-8 June). IS0 Sardinia – Luca, IK5AEQ will be active as IS0/IK5AEQ from the main island of Sardinia (EU-024) on 2-6 June. He will operate SSB, FT modes and RTTY on 40-6 metres from the rare province of Oristano, including activities from several POTA sites.
LA Norway – Mike, DF8AN will be active as LA/DF8AN/p from different islands in the Vesteralen archipelago (EU-033) from 29 May to 8 June. He will operate CW and digital modes on 80-10 metres, as well as on 6 and 2 metres if conditions are good. QSL via DF8AN and LoTW.
OX Greenland – Bo, OZ1DJJ will be active as OX3LX from two locations on the main island of Greenland (NA-018): Kangerlussuaq (GP47pa) on 5-9 June, and Nuuk (GP44de) on 10-22 June. As always, this will be a working trip, and he will be QRV only in his spare time. QSL via OZ0J, Club Log’s OQRS and LoTW.
PA Netherlands – Special callsign PA2025NATO will be active throughout June to mark the NATO Summit that will be hosted for the first time by the Netherlands (24-25 June). QSL via the bureau, or direct to PA2RUS (neither LoTW nor eQSL). Also active are expected to be PA25NATO (QSL via eQSL and QRZ Logbook, neither LoTW nor paper) and PH25NATO (no QSL at all).
T30 West Kiribati (Gilbert Island) – The Rebel DX Group will be active as T30TTT from Western Kiribati (OC-017) in the near future. It will be a two-person operation for the first two weeks; then one operator will remain there for three months on a work assignment. Plans are to have one CW, one SSB and eight FT8 stations.
