CN Morocco – Andre, HB9HLM will be active holiday style as CN2NE from Morocco on 15-22 July. He will be QRV on 40-6 metres from grid locator IM63dm. QSL via eQSL and QRZ Logbook; he does not plan to have paper cards.
F France – Special callsign TM5VDL will be active on 5-19 July from Dunkirk during the second stage of this year’s edition of the Tall Ships Races. QSL via F8KGS.
G England – During next weekend’s IARU HF World Championship five stations – GB0WR, GB2WR, GB5WR, GB8WR, and GB9WR – will be active on 80-10 metres SSB and CW and tested under field conditions. They will be using the exact planned equipment for the WRTC 2026 event as a trial. The operating location will be a cluster of sites within the grounds of the Euston Estate, Suffolk (England). HK Colombia – Members of the Asociacion de Radioaficionados Unidos (HK4RAU) have announced plans for a DXpedition to Isla Fuerte (SA-078), Colombia to take during the last week of July, including participation in the IOTA Contest (26-27 July). Callsigns to be used are 5K0T (operated by HK4T) and 5K0C (operated by HK4C), as well as HK4SSI/0 and HK4X/0 for “portable activations”. Activity will be on HF, VHF/UHF and for the first time satellites. QSL via EA5GL.
HL South Korea – HL70KARL is the special event station commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Korean Amateur Radio League (KARL), first established on 20 April 1955. QSL via LoTW; paper cards will not be available.
HS Thailand – E2WRTC is a special event station to promote Team Asia #3 in the World Radio Team Championship, which will be held in the UK in July 2026. Look for activity from 12 July to 10 August on 160-10 metres CW and SSB. QSL via E21EIC and LoTW.
I Italy – II1HQ, II2HQ, II4HQ, II6HQ and II9HQ will represent the Associazione Radioamatori Italiani (ARI) on the six contest bands, both CW and SSB, during next weekend’s IARU HF World Championship. See https://hqspeedaward.ari.it for the “IIxHQ Speed Award”, with certificates for working ARI HQ stations on different bands and modes in the shortest possible time.
J3 Grenada – Graham, 2M0IJU (J38LD) has had to cancel his trip to Grenada [425DXN 1780] at the very last moment. Eric, GM5RDX is still going, though, and he will be active as J38DX on 80-6 metres with two stations at the same time from 5 July to 13 July. “I expect to have an FT8 station operational soon after my arrival on Saturday evening, with the SSB station being set up on Sunday morning”, he says. “Band conditions permitting, I expect to be fully operational with two stations by around 11am Sunday (16:00 UTC)”. JA Japan – Take, JI3DST will be active as JI3DST/1 from Shikine Island (AS-008) on 24-28 July, IOTA Contest included. Other callsigns to be used outside the contest are JS6RRR/1 and JS6RRR/p (FT8/FT4) on 40-10 metres; JJ5RBH/1 and JJ5RBH/p (FT8/FT4) on 6m, 2m and 70 cm. QSOs will be uploaded to Club Log and LoTW.
JW Svalbard – Vlad, OK2WX will be active as JW0V from Longyearbyen (EU-026), Svalbard on 14-23 July. He will operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 80-10 metres. QSL via I8KHC and LoTW. See https://www.mdxc.support/jw0v/ for more information.
LA Norway – Charles, KD2RSF will be touring the Lofoten Islands (EU-076) between 5 and 7 or 8 July, with brief operations primarily on FT8 as LA/KD2RSF from the villages of Svolvaer, Ballstad and Hamnoy. QSL via LoTW
OZ Denmark – Rene, DL2JRM has been island hopping in Denmark since 30 June. Look for OZ/DL2JRM to be active until 11 July; he updates his schedule on https://www.qrz.com/db/DL2JRM. He will return to Denmark for the IOTA Contest, when he will be QRV as OV7X from Bago Island (EU-172). QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
TY Benin – TY5AD is a new station sponsored and remotely controlled by the Russian DX Team. Hosted near Cotonou, Benin, the station runs 100 watts into a vertical antenna, and can be operated on 80-10 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW within 2-3 days after that request.
TY Benin – Red, DL1BUG will be active again as TY5FR from Cotonou, Benin from 9 July to 6 August. He will operate CW and SSB on 80-10 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, LoTW, or via home call.
UA European Russia – Sergey, UA1ATD plans to be active as UA1ATD/p from ten RRA (Russian Robinson Award) islands in Onega Bay (White Sea), starting on 20 July for 10-12 days. Three islands – namely Kotkano, Bol’shoy Kuz’min and Kondostrov – qualify also for IOTA group EU-147. See https://www.qrz.com/db/UA1ATD for more information. Usually Sergey operates CW on 20 metres. V3 Belize – Josh, W9HT will be active as V31GT from Belize on 10-13 July. He will operate CW, SSB and digital modes on various HF bands. QSL via W9HT, and possibly LoTW.
VE Canada – Look for VY2/K1ZN to be active holiday style from Prince Edward Island (NA-029) 16-21 July, including participation in the North American QSO Party, RTTY (19-20 July). QSL via home call.
VE Canada – The NA128 Contest Group (http://www.qsl.net/na128cg) will be active again as XM2I from Ile-aux-Coudres (NA-128) on 24-27 July, IOTA Contest included. XM2I will also be used (NOT FROM NA-128) on various bands and modes between 12 July and 11 August, particularly during the IARU HF World Championship (12 July), the North American QSO Party, RTTY (19 July), the North American QSO Party, CW (2 August), and the WAE DX Contest, CW (9 August). QSL via F5JYD; all QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW on 15 August.
W USA – Randy, K5SL will be active holiday style from Dauphin Island (NA-213) on 19-26 July. He will operate CW on 40-15 metres during his local mornings and evenings.
ZC4 U.K. Sovereign Base on Cyprus – Adrian, G0KOM will be active as ZC4MK from the UK Sovereign Base Areas on Cyprus on 8-15 July. He will be QRV on 80, 40 and 20-6 metres. QSL via home call.
ZF Cayman Islands – Adrian, AA5UK is once again active from the Cayman Islands (NA-016) until 11 July. After operating for a few days as ZF2AE/ZF8 from Little Cayman,, he is now QRV from Grand Cayman Island as ZF2AE. He operates digital modes and SSB on 60-6 metres. QSL via LoTW (preferred), or direct to AA5UK.
