3D2/R Rotuma Island – 3D22 and 3D2V are the callsigns that the Rebel DX Group will be using during their upcoming activity from Rotuma. SuperFox keys valid from 20 September to 30 October (https://ncdxf.org/pages/sfkey.html) have been issued for both callsigns. FT8 will be prioritized (“CW and SSB less important”) and plans are to use both FT8 SuperFox and multistream MSHV on 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10m (same bands but different frequencies); on 160-30m only multistream MSHV will be used. 5R Madagascar – Eric, F6ICX will be active again as 5R8IC from Sainte-Marie Island (AF-090), Madagascar from October until the end of the year. He will operate mainly CW on 40-10 metres; during the last two weeks of December he will also be QRV on the QO-100 satellite. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or via home call (direct or bureau).
E6 Niue – Fred, DH5FS will be active holiday style as E6FS from Niue (OC-040) on 20-30 September. He will be QRV on various HF bands using 100 watts into wire antennas. QSL via his home call.
EA Spain – EG3AMCUP (from 15 September to 14 October) and AO3AMCUP (from 15 October to 28 October) are the special callsigns used by members of URE’s Unio de Radioaficionats de Barcelona i Baix Llobregat (EA3MM) during the 37th America’s Cup. GM Scotland – Special event station GB2ZL (Scotland) will operate CW only on 1-28 October to mark the 100th anniversary of the first amateur radio contact between Great Britain and New Zealand (18 October 1924). QSL via LoTW only. See https://www.qrz.com/db/GB2ZL for more information.
IS0 Sardinia – Luca, IK5AEQ will be active as IM0/IK5AEQ from San Pietro Island (EU-165) from 29 September to 6 October. He will operate SSB, RTTY and FT modes on 40-2 metres. On 26-28 September he will be QRV as IS0/IK5AEQ from POTA sites in the rare province of Oristano on mainland Sardinia (EU-024). QSL via LoTW, Club Log, or via home call.
OE Austria – Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the start of regular radio broadcasting in Austria (1 October 1924), members of the Amateur Radio Club of the ORF (Austria’s national public broadcaster) will be active as OE0RF (https://www.oe1xrw.radio/). QSL direct to OE1XRW.
OZ Denmark – Dieter, DF2SD is active holiday style as OV9R from Fano Island (EU-125) until 28 September. QSL via LoTW, eQSL and Club log’s OQRS for paper cards.
V4 Saint Kitts & Nevis – Dale, W4AUV and Bob, K4RLC will be active from St. Kitts (NA-104) on 1-12 October. Look for V4/W4AUV to operate mainly CW on 40m, while V4/K4RLC will operate QRP CW on 20 metres from the three POTA sites on the island. QSLs via LoTW.
W USA – Mike AB5EB, Mike AD5A, Dragan K0AP and Hector XE2K (AD6D) will be active from two IOTA groups in early October. The plan is for the team to be QRV as N5D from Timbalier Island (NA-119) on 4-6 October, and as K5M from Marsh Island (NA-120) on 7-8 October. The latter operation will be conducted only during the day, due to the restrictions on staying overnight on the island. They will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on 40, 20, 15, 10 and 6 metres.
