De DX-tips voor de week van 16 – 23 november
3B8 Mauritius – Once again team 3B8M (https://www.facebook.com/3B8Mauritius/) will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest (M/M category) from Mauritius (AF-049). QSL 3B8M via LoTW and M0OXO’s OQRS. This year’s operating team includes 3B8GL, 4O3A, E70A, G0CKV (3B8HA), KX7M, SM0CXU, YL2KL, YL3JA, YT1HA, YT7KM, YU6DX and YU9DX. Before and after the contest they will operate various modes on all bands.
A4 Oman – A43ND is the special callsign for the Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society to use on on 16-20 November to celebrate Oman National Day (18 November), QSL via EC6DX, LoTW, eQSL. Also taking part in the celebrations will be:
* the Emirates Amateur Radio Society as A60OMA on 12-18 November (QSL via EA7FTR); individual operators may append a serial number to the special callsign, and be QRV as A60OMA/0, A60OMA/1, etc. (see qrz.com for the QSL routes);
* the Bahrain Amateur Radio Society as A91OMA on 12-18 November (QSL via EC6DX and LoTW);
* the Kuwait Amateur Radio Society as 9K9OMAN on 14-20 November (QSL via EC6DX);
* possibly the Saudi Amateur Radio Society (HZ1SAR) as HZ1OMAN.
C5 The Gambia – A five-man team (EA3NT, EI5GM, EI9FBB, MM0NDX and MM0OKG) will be active from the Gambia on 25-29 November [425DXN 1743]. Main activity will be as C5T on 60-6 metres, with a focus on the higher bands and “CW & SSB more than FT8 (unless conditions are not so good)”. Some operators will also be active as C5I from the Bijol Islands (AF-060), and possibly as C5T/p from rare grids IK23 and IK33. If all goes well, the team will use Club Log’s Live Streams. C6 The Bahamas – Brian, ND3F will be active again as C6AQQ from New Providence (NA-001), Bahamas on 21-28 November. He will operate mainly CW, including an entry in the CQ WW DX CW Contest, with some FT8/FT4 outside the contest weekend. QSL via LoTW, eQSL, or direct to home call.
CE Chile – Team 3G7X [425DXN 1749] now expects to be active from Chiloe Island (SA-018) on 18-24 November. They plan to be QRV on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and digital modes, and to participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as XR7X. QSL via CE3SPR and LoTW.
CT Portugal – CT1EXR, CT1FGR and CT5KAO will be active as CR56MX on 21-26 November from the Fortress of Sagres, located in rare grid IM56mx. They will concentrate on 6 and 2 metres FT8 and SSB. QSL via LoTW.
FS Saint Martin – Gary, KC9EE will be active as FS/KC9EE from St. Martin (NA-105) on 19-29 November, including a QRP entry in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or direct to home call.
PJ4 Bonaire – Look for PJ4/K4BAI, PJ4/KU8E, PJ4/N4RR and PJ4/N8VW to be active from Bonaire (SA-006) on 20-27 November. They will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as PJ4A. QSL PJ4/K4BAI, PJ4/KU8E and PJ4A via K4BAI.
SP Poland – The Bydgoszcz Amateur Radio Club (SP2PBY) will be active as SN4BUW, SN6IW, SN7ESH and SN6IU on 18-23 November to honour the memory of Henryk Kruszynski SP2BUW (1957-2020), Ryszard Czerwinski SP2IW (1932-2018), Boleslaw Krzymin SP2ESH (1936-2016) and Zbigniew Gorgolewski SP2IU (1933-2017). T8 Palau – Nobu, JA0JHQ will be active again as T88PB from Koror (OC-009), Palau on 22-26 November, with main activity during the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via LoTW (preferred), or direct to home call.
UA European Russia – Special callsigns R2024DX and UE34DX will be active on 18-30 November to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Miller DX Club. QSLs via RQ7L.
VP9 Bermuda – Darrell, AB2E and John, K3TEJ will be active as AB2E/VP9 and K3TEJ/VP9 from Bermuda (NA-005) on 20-26 November. They will operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 160-10 metres, with a focus on 30, 17 and 12 metres. QSLs via LoTW, or direct to home calls. They will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as VP9I (QSL via LoTW, or via WW3S).
XV Vietnam – Juris, YL2GM and Eugene, EA5EL will be active as XV9X from Phu Quoc Island (AS-128), Vietnam from 19 November to 2 December. They will operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 160-10 metres with two stations. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS (preferred for direct and bureau cards), or direct to YL2GN; full LoTW upload six months after the end of the DXpedition. YB Indonesia – The ORARI branch of Tangerang Selatan (YH1RI) will operate special Callsigns 8G16T, 8G16A, 8G16N, 8G16G, 8G16S, 8G16E and 8G16L from 23 November to 1 December to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the city of South Tangerang (part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area, on the island of Java). ZD7 Saint Helena Island – Andy, 5Z4VJ expects to be active again as ZD7VJ from St. Helena Island (AF-022) on 16-30 November, possibly including an entry in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via M0URX’s OQRS and LoTW.
ZL7 Chatham Islands – Holger, ZL7IO (ZL3IO) will be back to Waitangi, Chatham Islands (OC-038) on 19-26 November. He will be joined by his daughter Xenia (ZL4YL), who will be QRV as ZL7YL. This will be also the callsign used during the CQ WW DX CW Contest as a Multi-2 entry. QSL ZL7IO and ZL7YL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or via DK7AO.
